Advisory Council

In accordance with Chapter 493.6104, Florida Statutes, the Department established an advisory council, known as the Private Investigation, Recovery, and Security Advisory Council which is composed of 11 members.

Council members are appointed by the Commissioner for a four year term.

The council meets at least four times yearly to advise the Department and make recommendations relative to the regulation of the security, investigative, and recovery industries.

Notice of the council meetings are published in the Florida Administrative Weekly, the Division of Licensing Newsletter, and the Division of Licensing Internet Home Page.
